No, I am not talking about our family of children and grandchildren. They are also a wonderful family, but what I am thinking about is our Village Missions family. We just arrived home yesterday from a three-day conference in the Okanagan Valley, where we met with about 15-20 other couples and families who are involved in the same kind of ministry as we are.
It was a wonderful time of sharing together, rejoicing and praying together, and worshiping and praising together. We heard challenging biblical messages from Lyndon Wall, who has a ministry of encouragement and refreshment for pastors and missionaries.
We are so blessed to be a part of an organization like Village Missions. We are supported and assisted in so many ways by our leadership, and we are able to support and encourage one another through prayer.
Another side benefit of this conference is the trip itself. This is the 32nd time in the past 34 years that we have made this trip Kelowna for this conference. I never tire of travelling through the mountains and rejoicing at the power of our almighty Creator. Every year I look forward to seeing and enjoying the majesty of the Rocky Mountains. I don't know if there is any thing or any place more beautiful in the entire world.
